Encouragement for the New Year, 2024

3–5 minutes

Hello eternal family,

I hope it’s not too late to wish you a joyful and peaceful Happy New Year.

I set out last year to write and share my walk with God with you, but that couldn’t happen. Last year was a very transitional and transformational one for me. While I know it is possible to remain a blessing to others while one is still going through the process, I had a limit last year and couldn’t stretch out too much. I have stretched so much for a long time that I didn’t realize how much I needed to conserve and be poured into last year. It was challenging since I am so used to pouring out. But thank God for his grace that bypasses our will in His mercy.

I’m so grateful for 2023. Once again, it was a beautiful transitional and transformational year. God willing, I will slowly share some of my experiences and lessons with you all.

However, In 2024, I shall go in the light of God’s wisdom and have a year of ease and multiple multiplications. I pray for you, too, that everything the Lord plans for you this year shall manifest at the appointed time. He will walk with you and give you the grace, wisdom, and strength to do the necessary work to put your faith into action in Jesus’ name. Amen.

That said, I hope you are having a great year so far.

I understand how easy it can be to get caught up in the wave of energy going around social media right now, and it might feel like you are already lagging in the new year. Do not let that get to you this year!

If there’s one thing I learned to leave behind from last year, it was operating on other people’s timelines. Do not do that this year.

Do not let others overwhelm you.

The best you should get from others is inspiration, not stress or comparison. That will wreck and derail you this year. Please do not do it.

I am reading through Genesis this January, and I couldn’t help but notice how important one’s focus and gaze are.

This year, I am looking up! Looking Up to God, not so much to my situations, the world, the impossibilities, people, etc. I am looking to God.

Let me show you where I got that from.

In Genesis 18, Abraham is going about his life on a faithful day, relaxing at the entrance of his tent. It was a hot day. It was scorching! But Verse 2 says, “So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground.”

And bam! Abraham entertained God and angels.

But he had to see and recognize them before he could do that.

He had to lift his head and look!

My friend, this year, Look up!

God said to me at the beginning of this year, “Esther, sit beside me and look up to me. Keep your gaze on me, and don’t look away. I will walk you through the difficult path, shadows, and valleys. It’s going to be an awesome year. Just look at me.”

So, yo! Reading through Genesis and seeing the phrase, “Look up,” made much more sense when I saw the subsequent occurrences.

This is similar to the story in Matthew 14, when Jesus walked on water and invited Peter to join him. Peter also walked until …, “But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” (Matthew 14: 30).

You get the gist by now, this year, this 2024, LOOK UP! Not at the wind, not at people, not what your current situation says, BUT look to God.

Remember, with God, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37).

And you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).

If you are confused about where to start or what to do, ask God for His wisdom and guidance and do the proper work.

Don’t be negatively influenced by the world.

Stay looking at God.

Well, family, I have said a lot already.

But no worries, I will see you soon in my next post.

Your life is blessed (Repeat this to yourself with a firm conviction. “My life is blessed”).

And

God greatly loves you.
