As we come to the end of this memorable day #𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲⁣ ⁣ The phrase, “𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝!” comes to mind and I am once again reminded that everything ended on that cross over 2000 years ago. It was a sad day but today it’s indeed a memorable good one.⁣ ⁣ That day marked the completion of the redemption and salvation work of Christ. What had been preconceived before the foundations of the world was finished. The world was reconciled back to the Father. The Father’s Will was done. The law was fulfilled. Grace was poured out in overflow. The penalty of sin was defeated.⁣ ⁣ “𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝!” Said with triumph and exaltation. ⁣ Because of his death on this day years ago, we can live today and forever. We can hope, be joyful, peaceful and grateful.⁣ ⁣ And come Sunday and forever, we will rejoice. ⁣ Because our Savior lives. ⁣ ⁣ #HappyGoodFriday⁣ #YouAreEternallyLoved⁣ #GrowingGodsEternalFamily⁣ #BeingGodsLoveToThe99and1

#NewBlogPost #FullLinkInBio⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We live in a world that celebrates material and physical success a whole lot. Buying and owning of big houses, cars, possessions, glorification of physical beauty and body and many of us shout #Goals at the sight of these things and more.⁣⁣⁣ While there is absolutely nothing wrong with owning some prized materials possessions or admiring or desiring a nice and beautiful body, these should not become our ultimate goal.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Things that are here today and gone tomorrow should not be the reason why we live. They should not be the reason why we lose sleep at night. They should not be the reason why we feel miserable & compare our lives to that of others. They should not be the reason why we get depressed, think of suicide or commit suicide.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ In Philippians 4:11-13, Apostle Paul said, “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content, whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation...”⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Contentment does not negate the desire to want more things. Rather contentment says, “My happiness and joy does not depend on what I have or don’t have.”⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ We must understand that there is always going to something we all want. Even the person that seems to have it all, wants something. Even when we get what we want, we are bound to want something else.⁣⁣⁣ In that case, are we going to keep feeling miserable, shouting “goals” at everything or are we going to have contentment and seek that which is eternal?⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and everything will be added unto you.”⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ We are to seek God every day. Cling to him every day. Remain in him every day. Abide in him every day, while trusting God to take care of us as his children. He knows what you need. We must not be blinded by the riches and possessions of the world.⁣⁣⁣ While they are necessary to live in this world, they are vain if they are our ultimate goal. Have you ever read a comforting and promising scripture and you think of something like, “This does not apply to me.”⁣⁣ I don’t know about you but I often disqualify myself from some sweet words and promises of God.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ You might ask, “Why.”⁣⁣ Let me show you.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, and He delights in his way [and blesses his path]. Psalm 37:23⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Do you see it yet?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ These scriptures have some adjectives in them makes me wonder if I belong.⁣⁣ “Righteous”⁣⁣ “Good”⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I don’t know about you but I read that and I go. “Esther you are out. You don’t qualify. You ain’t good or righteous. You do bad things. “⁣⁣ Oh, what ignorance and stupidity.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Well, it’s a good thing Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit or else, we would be more stupid and ignorant than we probably are now.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I realized that I am righteous BY FAITH and goodness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. All this while, I was weighing my righteousness and goodness by my words, thinking, and works. Rather by who I am in Christ Jesus.⁣⁣ I can never be good or righteous by my works or deeds. None of us can.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But then I see such wonderful and promising scriptures and I deceive myself into thinking, I don’t belong despite the fact that I have read scriptures countless times that tells me that my righteousness is by Faith and my identity is in Christ Jesus. I am a new creation, old things are passed away and all things are new.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I realize that this walk with God has got to be an intentional one.
