Choose your MASTER wisely

Jesus willingly gave his life for us; his blood was shed for you and I. To make us free from the bondage of sin and restore us back to God. So, why exactly, do we continue to dwell in sin intentionally? Why do we put ourselves in bondage again after being freed? I, personally know what it’s like to be in bondage of sin and what it’s like to be out of it. And to willingly go back to my past sins and vomit will be pure foolishness and stupidity.

Romans 6: 16 says, “Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to DEATH, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to RIGHTEOUS LIVING.” Many of us willingly and intentionally give ourselves over to sin and the devil. The bitter and sad part is we know what we are doing, and we continue to indulge in it.

Do not think that you have control or you are the master of what you do with your life. In actually sense the Bible verse above says, you are the SLAVE and that thing, whatever or whoever it is you choose to obey is the MASTER. If you chose to obey your flesh and gave into a sexual immorality such as pornography, that is your master. You literally become a puppet to sin. The devil starts to mess with you. So, you are either a slave to the devil and sin OR a slave to Jesus Christ (which makes you a co-heir with Christ, a child of God).

The Bible says in Romans 6: 18, “You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” You become a slave to doing the right thing that pleases God. Sin no longer has dominion over you. So, my dear, you have the power to say no to sin. You must keep your doors locked when that sin or temptation comes knocking. Don’t open and willingly let it in. RESIST the devil and he will flee. Don’t sit there listening to him. Don’t let your old friends draw you back into that mud and vomit. Don’t give the remote control of your life to Satan. Stay on the narrow path. CRUCIFY the flesh DAILY. Remember, the devil isn’t resting; you can’t be resting too. Keep growing in Christ.

God bless you.

Lots of Love❤️❤️❤️
