It’s free, don’t overthink it!

I came across a website that sends inspiration quotes and messages to people and all you have to do is subscribe. It’s a free subscription. In fact, the word “FREE” was written in a capital letter so one can easily see it. But, in my head, I started overthinking the whole thing.

“What if it’s not free? What if I am charged some amount after I receive the message? What If I lose some money? Is this a trick? …..” I went on and on in my head and suddenly the Holy Spirit told me, “Stop it, Esther! It’s free, clearly and boldly stated, stop overthinking it, just subscribe.” smiles

This made me think of how many people are still out there in the world who God has freely invited into his family but they continue to resist because for some reason they think they have to pay for their salvation or they are just too bad and evil and wicked to be forgiven by God.

“What if it’s a trick? what if it’s a lie? Can God really accept me as I am? Is salvation truly free? Are you sure I don’t have to earn it? Are you sure God won’t punish me for everything I have done once I come into his family? Maybe it’s better to just stay back here in the world. I don’t know. I am confused.”

Are you this person?

Then I want to say to you what the Holy Spirit said to me,“Stop it ___! (Insert your name) Salvation is FREE, It’s God’s free gift to us, you CANNOT earn it. Jesus Christ already paid the price for your sins on the cross. He died so you can live. Remember when he said on the cross, “IT IS FINISHED” (John 19:30). It truly was finished. The plan and his reason for coming to earth were to die for your sins so you can be SAVED. He already bought your salvation and he is willing to give it to you as a gift IF ONLY you are ready to accept it.”

For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. –   Ephesians 2: 8 -9 (AMP)

So, brother or sister, stop overthinking it, it’s not a trick, it’s not a trap. God doesn’t play games. God is ready to forgive you and give you eternal life if you accept his son, Jesus Christ.”  Stop wasting time in the world, stop procrastinating your salvation because no-one except God the father (Matthew 24:36) knows when Jesus will return, so you and I must be ready, each and every day. So you don’t have the luxury to keep stalling and overthinking your salvation. You have to accept Jesus as your Lord and savior, TODAY (this very second)!
