First, Clean the Inside…

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence!
You blind Pharisee! First, clean the inside of the cup and the dish, and then the outside will become clean, too” – Matthew 23: 25 – 26

clean d inside first

Don’t be so fixed on looking good on the outside that you forget to clean the inside which is the most important. If the inside is clean, the outside will also be clean. Many of us are so fixed on just going to church, singing hymns and we know the right words to say to make us look & sound spiritual but deep inside we are rotten. In the secret our deeds are filthy.

What good is it to look good on the outside when the inside is rotten? The inside is going to keep oozing out over and over again.

If we keep wasting time on cleaning the outside, being fake, deceiving people and fooling ourselves that we are very spiritual be sure to know that we can’t fool God. God can not be deceived. A man looks a the outward appearance but God looks within, the heart (1 Samuel 16: 7).
So, let’s deal with the issue from the root. Allow the Holy Spirit to work on you, let him consume you from the inside out and allow God to prune.
God bless
