God is doing a new thing in your life. However, the enemy, Satan is an accuser of the brethren and he won’t stop accusing us of our past. It will please him so well if he can get you and me to keep living in our past.

So, I will like to share with you today the real truth, satan intentions towards you, what satan is really afraid of, the power of the cross of Jesus Christ, God’s extraordinary love for you, how your past has become a testimony that allows others to see God grace and love through you and why you should stop being consumed by fear and start walking in your purpose and calling.

I pray you are blessed as you read in Jesus name. Amen.

Satan’s Intent

The enemy intentionally tried to destroy God’s creation. He intentionally led man to sin and unto death. He intentionally tried to separate man from God. He hates and despises love so much and he wanted you to end up like him, away and alienated from God. But he forgot that no matter how vile and cunning he may be, your GOD is ever wise, no one can know his ways and His love is greater and deeper than he could ever imagine.

Satan never expected…

He never expected that Jesus Christ who is fully God would descend so low. He never expected that Jesus would take on this sinful human flesh and bear your sins. He never expected Jesus to be so humble to the point of death on the cross. He never expected Jesus to become cursed for your sake. For cursed is his who is hanged on a tree (Deuteronomy 21:23). But he did. FOR NOTHING, not even Satan can separate you from Jesus’s LOVE.

Christ was betrayed and crucified for your sins and was raised from the dead for your justification, your acquittal, he absolved you of all sin before God and made you right with God (Romans 4:25 AMP). The relationship the enemy thought he had successfully destroyed was restored. The victory he thought he had was a counterfeit one, for all victory belongs to God.

The power and Wisdom of the Cross

The same CROSS which the world sees as foolishness is the ultimate wisdom, power, justice, and love of GOD. To the perishing world, it is foolishness that a God, a messiah, would die on a cross, but to the saved is the very power and wisdom of God unto salvation (1 Corinthians 1: 18)

Apostle Paul said in Galatians 6:14 that he will boast in the cross of Jesus Christ. If you are also to boast about anything, it should be about the CROSS of Jesus Christ. Boast about the very cross that the world considers foolishness, the very cross that religions can not understand and accept, the very cross that remains a stumbling block to those whose expectation of a messiah is one whose kingdom is of this earth, a stumbling block to those who are looking for tremendous signs and wonders.

Boast in that very cross, for it is your place of redemption, grace, salvation, restoration, eternal life, forgiveness, mercy, joy, exaltation, wisdom, power, strength, glory, and pride. A place where your life changed forever.

The Grace and Love of God

Now, you see why Satan will keep talking and reminding you of your past. He simply can’t stand the immense GRACE and LOVE of God for you. He is always gonna hate, that’s his nature. But, the more he talks about your past, he is simply making it more evident about how wide, how long, how high and how deep the love of God toward you (Ephesians 3: 18).

That same past the devil keeps bringing up, God already forgave it, he removed it (As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us – Psalm 103: 12) and transformed it into an amazing testimony of His grace.

It’s time for you to stop holding pity parties and hiding your past. When the enemy sees that you are hiding it and he will use it against you. Before he uses your past against you, use your past to bring glory to God. Willingly and proudly share and talk about it. For in your weakness, God’s power is made strong and perfected (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Through your past, the amazing grace of God shines through, the forgiveness of God is made known, the awesome reality of your new creation (who you are) in Christ is manifested. Priscilla Shirer says it best, “Instead of a reason for endless shame, guilt, and regret, our past has become a reason for endless worship and free -flowing testimony.”

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come! —— 2 Corinthians 5:17

Who are you? What’s your Identity?

You are an adopted child of God (Rom 8:14 -17, 2 Cor 6: 18, Gal 4: 4 -5, John 1:12)
You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Cor 5:21)
You are a Saint in Christ Jesus (1 Cor 1:2)
You are an heir of God’s glory (Rom 8: 17)
You are alive eternally in Christ (Col 2:13, Eph 2:5)
You are free in Christ Jesus (Gal 5:1, John 8:36)
You are empowered and sealed by God’s own & eternal Spirit (2 Cor 1: 22)
You are the LIGHT of the world (Mat 5:14, Eph 5:8-9)
You are the SALT of the earth (Mat 5: 13)
You carry the mighty power of Jesus – He who lives in you is greater than he in the world (1 John 4:4)
You are victorious (John 16:33, 1 Cor 15:57)
You are more than a conqueror (Rom 8: 37)
You are already seated in heavenly places (Eph 2: 6)
You are loved by God from before the world began (Matt 25:34)
You are forgiven of even your most shameful sins (Rom 4: 7 – 8)
You are a chosen person, a royal priesthood, a holy nation & God’s special possession (1 Peter 2:9)
You no longer live, Christ lives in you (Gal 2: 20)
You are a prophet of God (Jer 1: 5)
You are the temple of God’s Holy Spirit (1 Cor 6: 19)
You are God’s masterpiece, not a carbon copy (Eph 2: 10)
You are an evidence of God’s Grace, His power, His love & His well-placed confidence.
You are His and He is yours (Song of solomon 2: 16)

Should we go on? I would love to but I want you to pick up God’s Word and find out the rest for yourself. It is the greatest feeling ever when you open that book and you begin to see WHO YOU ARE, Who God says you are, and the true you. Until you know that, believe it with faith and live in it, Satan will continue to mess with you.

What is your purpose? What is your calling?

Ahh! This is it. The main reason why Satan keeps you in his bondage of sin, why he keeps bringing up your past even when you break out of his bondage, why he doesn’t want you to know who you are, why he tried to destroy you before you even started, why he tried to get you aborted, why he tries to get you back into the world, why he wants you to give up on God and walk away from the tests that are pruning you, why he tries to keeps you on the fear side of the fence. It’s because of your purpose and the great calling of God upon your life. He is fully aware that your obedience to walking in your purpose will cause him to lose many followers and people who are in his bondage. He knows that.

So, he uses fear, deception, lies, insecurity and people bondage to tie you down. He says to you “I know you are thinking of great things, I know you have this wonderful desire in your heart, I know you will love to contribute to the world in some way, but you CANNOT, because you are not qualified, you are useless, you are not good enough, blah blah blah.”

And many times we have fallen for his schemes and tricks. But the more insecure and fears you feel, realize that the more you should do what God has placed on your heart. Cross over that fence of fear, the fence of insecurities, the fence of “what will people say or think” and DO IT!

Joshua 1: 9 – God says, “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord, your God is with you wherever you go.”

Do you know your calling and purpose? Go ahead and live in it. If you do not know, then go to God in prayer and keep praying until he tells you. You have a calling and purpose upon your life which you must fulfill before you die, don’t let fear or satan keep you away from it.

You might not see how things will turn out right now and that’s not for you to worry about. You are a Christian who walks by FAITH and not by sight. Just step out in faith and let God handle the rest. Fear not. Have faith.

Isaiah 43:16 -19 (CSB)

This is what the Lord says— who makes a way in the sea,
and a path through raging water, who brings out the chariot and horse,
the army and the mighty one together (they lie down, they do not rise again;
they are extinguished, put out like a wick)

“Do not remember the past events,
pay no attention to things of old.
Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it?
Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness,
rivers in the desert.

So while Satan continues to play his games, I want you to fix your eyes on God, embrace who you are, accept your purpose/calling and Lookoo0, God is doing a NEW thing in your life. He will make a way where there seems to be none. Live in Faith.
