To some, hope is a life-line and to some, it’s just some fancy word for despair & unchanging situation no matter what. Many have refused to hang on to hope due to past experiences. They refuse to hope again and they just live and go wherever life takes them and take whatever life brings. Internally wounded and despaired.
As the year comes to an end, many are excited for the next year, in fact, many are already living in the next year, new year resolutions are already drawn up and they can’t wait to paint the new year with success. However, some are not too excited about a new year because it only means they have to keep hoping for a change, which is not guaranteed. Many are considering hurting themselves, committing suicide and just quit life altogether.
If you are that person, I will like to encourage you today. Darling, hold on to the hope which is in Christ Jesus. Don’t give up. You might wonder what’s the use of even going into the next year when this year was a total mess or what’s the use of trying that thing again next year when it didn’t work out this year? What’s the use of continuously praying for that thing when God has refused to answer me?
I don’t know what your situation is, but, I’ll like to remind of hope isn’t false and you shouldn’t give it up. The moment you do, nothing is worth it & nothing is worth looking forward to. We all go to bed and wake the next morning with the hope for a better tomorrow. So, don’t quit now. It’s not looking good now, but it someday will. I don’t know how long but am I damn sure it will. Weeping may endure for a night but joy always comes in the morning. When it will be your morning, the right morning in God’s sight & time, that I can’t tell.
But keep pushing and don’t give up.
Put your hope in God’s unfailing love and He will renew your strength for the coming year.
Christ is alive, so should your hope.
It will get better, darling.
Be excited about the new year.
God Bless.
