Running away is never a solution.
We all have a tendency to run away or try to avoid tough situations. However, the reality is that life is not a bed of roses and things are not always going to be easy to deal with. We are going to meet people and face situations that shake us so badly and we just want to throw in the towel and quit.
For example, Is your boss being mean to you and you just want to quit your job? Please don’t.
Like the angel of the LORD (Jesus) said to Hagar in Genesis 16:9, return to your boss and submit to your boss authority and work as unto the Lord.
Your boss might be mean but you also need to assess your own character. Because many times, we are quick to point out other people’s bad character and blame them without looking into our own character. Hagar was obviously being disrespectful and held contempt for her Mistress (Sarah) which prompted Sarah to start mistreating her (not that it is okay). So sometimes if we can trace it back, we might have started to the whole cycle. The little eye rolls, the contempt looks, the nasty attitudes, the little gossips and more we do might have triggered our boss or coworker or that person’s current attitude towards us. The change needs to start with us.
Acquiring an offense keeps us from seeing our own character flaws because the blame is deferred to another _ John Bevere
We need to have the right attitude in everything we do. Have respect for those who are above and older than us. Be humble and serve as unto the LORD. Hold no offense and remain steadfast in the LORD for He is El-Roi (The God who sees). He sees all your labor of love and in due time He will reward you. Don’t run away. Stay, learn and grow through the situation. You are not alone and nothing you go through is ever wasted.
He sees it all.
