Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus _ 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
My ethnic (Yoruba) people will say, “He who doesn’t show gratitude for yesterday’s favors won’t receive another one.”
The word, “Thank you” goes a long way with one another. How much more when we show our gratitude to God.
God isn’t asking you for a payback for His grace and favors, neither is He asking for an ungrateful heart.
We shouldn’t take God’s blessings for granted. Waking up, moving out of your bed, going to work or school and coming back safely, food to eat, water to drink, and so much more we take for granted are things we should be grateful for daily.
It shouldn’t be difficult for us to pause and say, “Thank you, God.”
Oh, how much God loves a grateful heart!
So if you haven’t thanked Him today, take a moment to praise Him and thank Him for all He has done, is doing and will do.
For in all circumstances, we should give thanks.
Eternally Loved
