Don’t Get Comfortable

Everything in the world keeps getting easier by the day. You can order food from the comfort of your home, you can do a lot on your smartphone, you can be in another state or country within hours. The world keeps drawing us in and everyone is getting extremely comfortable. We are way too relaxed and comfortable despite being travelers in this world.

We are literally the most comfortable and relaxed travelers ever. We are not living like travelers who look forward to going home someday.

Many of us are travelers who have forgotten about our home and we’ve decided to dwell on earth forever.

We must live comfortably uncomfortable in this world. We must not forget that though we are in the world, we are not of the world. We must be like the 5 wise virgins who were well prepared and waited anxiously for their bridegroom to take them home.

Jesus, our bridegroom, the husband and head of the church is coming for his bride someday. Are we going to be ready or are we going to be too comfortable in the world and we forgot to get dressed and ready for Him?

The word says in Philippians 3:20 (TLB), “But our homeland is in heaven, where our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, is; and we are looking forward to his return from there.”

Never get comfortable in this world.

We are not gonna be here forever.

Live. Life. Intentionally.

Eternally Loved.
