You are Free : Overcoming Temptations

Happy New Year, Eternal Family!

My prayer for you this year is that you will increase in the KNOWLEDGE of God in Christ Jesus and ultimately BE who you already are in Him.

Hence to kick off our knowledge, let’s briefly talk about overcoming temptations.

“…and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

John 8: 32

Sin bounds (and death is its penalty).

That’s all it does & can do.

It lords and master us.

We all at some point in our lives struggled and we are probably still struggling with some besetting sin.

Some sin have literally become a way of life for us.

We can’t fathom or imagine a way to break free from its bound.

To overcome sin, we must renew our minds.

We must know and understand that we already have freedom from all forms of sin, in Christ Jesus.

We must know this truth.

The truth sets free.

Jesus sets free.

You are free!

Having this knowledge is so important.

The Bible already says that you have NO/ZERO obligation to obey your flesh and carnal desires (Romans 8:12)

So then, brothers and sisters, we are not obligated to the flesh to live according to the flesh, because if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Romans 8: 12-13 CSB

Sin can only master you because you allow it to.

A freed person has no obligation to his previous master unless he/she chooses to.

And a freed person might only remain a slave because he has no knowledge of his freedom.

He continues to serve and slave away in vain.

You are free!

You are free from that particular sin.

Have this understanding and accept the abundance of grace that is available to you to walk away from it and say NO to it daily.

You are free!

It is finished!

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6.

Get knowledge don’t be destroyed.

God bless.

You are Eternally Loved.
