I sinned.

I sinned.
I probably sin everyday.
But, I committed a conscious sin, yesterday.
And I felt absolutely sorry.
There was that godly sorrow.

I kept asking God to forgive me because I felt I had let him down big time.
I kept asking for forgiveness on my way to church and even when I got to church today.

And the pastor came up to preach and read 1john 2:1-2

“You are my dear children, and I write these things to you so that you won’t sin. But if anyone does sin, we continually have a forgiving Redeemer who is face-to-face with the Father: Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.”

Ain’t God just good.
Yes, he is good. Extremely good.
At this point, I’m gonna need a word that’s better than good.

Why did I share this?
Honestly, I didn’t want to.
The Holy Spirit led me to share it.
It’s easy to come on social media and try to paint a perfect picture and life. It’s easy to say the right words, encourage you in your walk with God and in your daily lives. It’s easy to tell you to love God and others.

But it’s not easy to say, “I’m imperfect too and I sinned.”

But this is real life. And one thing God told me was to be REAL & TRUE.

So, I believe the reason I needed to share this was:
1. To encourage someone here today that you are forgiven too. Don’t allow the enemy to drive you and keep you down with shame and guilt. We have an intercessor- Jesus Christ.

2. To help me get real, stay humbled and relational. Get off my pedestal. Esther Love is not perfect. She’s perfect/complete in Christ yet she’s still being made perfect.

3. While we need not feel shame or guilt and be reassured that we are forgiven,  we must know that God is not pleased with sin. He is LIGHT and no darkness can be found in him (1 John 1:5). We must fellowship closer and more intimately with him and look to him for strength.  We can’t work out our salvation by our own power & might. We must constantly renew our mind in his word. The weapons on our fight are not canal for we wrestle not against flesh & blood. Don’t get too comfortable or distracted in this world. Stay alert and sober in Christ.

4. “Our flesh may fail. But our God will never fail.”  We must put ZERO confidence in our flesh. And remember,  we are fighting from a place of victory.

Have a beautiful and blessed week 🤗

God bless.

You are Eternally Loved.
