FLEE! – DAY 4

day-4DAY 4

DON’T JUDGE ME!

Hello, family☺️, It is DAY 4 of the series on sexual immorality and restoration. I pray you get blessed. Thanks. God bless.🙏🤗

  • “Don’t judge me by my decisions if you don’t understand my reasons.”
  • “Don’t talk about me until you have talked to me, don’t underestimate me until you challenge me, don’t judge me until you know me.”
  • “Go ahead. Judge me. Just remember to be perfect the rest of your life.”
  • “Don’t judge me, I was born to be awesome not perfect.”
  • “Who are you to judge the life I live” I am not perfect, and I don’t have to be! Before you start pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean.”
  • “Don’t judge me for my choices when you don’t understand my reasons.”
  • “Don’t judge me, you can’t handle half of what I’ve dealt with. There’s reason I do the things I do, there’s a reason I am who I am.”
  • “My life, my choices, my mistakes, my lessons, not your business.”
  • “Don’t judge the path I choose to take if you haven’t walked the journey I had to make.” And More…

Given the very sensitive and emotional world we live in and the delicate topic (sexual immorality) we have been discussing for the past three (3) days, I figured that this post was important to make things clear. We all tend to get defensive when a sensitive topic is discussed, especially when we are guilty. And we might have said one or two of the statements listed above.

However, I want us to know that I am not judging anyone. I know exactly what the Bible says in Matthew 7: 1 -2 (NLT) and the likes, “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.” So, I don’t want to be judged, so I dare not judge others. However the Bible does say in Ephesians 4:15-16 (ESV), “ Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” It also says in Ephesians 4: 25 (ESV), “So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.” We owe it to one another as believers to tell one another the truth as members of the same family of God. And as laborers, we have an obligation to also tell the truth and bring in more harvest (unbelievers) into the storehouse (God’s family).

Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 4: 2 – 3, “Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.”  And I believe we are in that time now. We have churches where they only preach about the grace of God. But we shouldn’t forget that the same God who is so merciful and gracious is also a just judge. And he will judge everyone according to his deeds (Ecclesiastes 3:17 – NIV). We shouldn’t just look for teachers or pastors that are going to tell us, “It okay, God’s grace is sufficient” and will tell us just what we want to hear. Instead, we should look for and listen to teachers who are ready to tell us the truth in God’s word even if it hurts.

So, I decided to do this series on sexual immorality because I have been through it. For years I battled with pornography and masturbation. Lost my virginity when I was younger, so I have my own past. However, I repented of my sins, confessed my sins to God, prayed for the joy of his salvation and I got my full restoration back to God. So, I have definitely been humbled by my own sins, and I have absolutely no right to judge anyone. Because, when I shared my testimony, I got so much love, support and encouragement from friends and family more than I expected. No one judged me to my face, so why would I judge others? So, I decided to talk about sexual immorality because I know how addicting it can be and even when we try to do the right thing we might still find ourselves going back to our sins. So, I decided to speak the truth as much as I could on sexual immorality and let us know that it is never too late to go back to God.

We are a family of God, and I love my brothers and sisters in Christ, and we owe it to one another to call a sin what it really is, A SIN without compromising. The fact about truths is, they are always going to hurt. And because I really love you, I am not willing to sugarcoated or water down the truth so someone wouldn’t get hurt. If the word of God (Bible) says it’s a sin, then it is wrong, and it is a sin. Which is why I made sure to support the words I said with the word of God. This past three (3) days, we have learned about various acts of sexual immorality and their consequences. 1 Corinthians 6:9 (AMP) says, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [by perversion], nor those who participate in homosexuality.” So, my dear, I do not want you to miss heaven for anything, so if it means I have to tell you the truth and hurt you then, I’ll do it a million times. I don’t want you to have worldly sorrow as you read these posts. I desire that you have godly sorrow. Because, “Godly sorrow that is in accord with the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation; but worldly sorrow [the hopeless sorrow of those who do not believe] produces death – (2 Corinthians 7: 10 AMP).

I am not perfect. In fact, I am very far from perfect, and I still commit sin. However, I am working towards perfection with the holy spirit and pursuing righteousness in Christ. Also, I know that I have authority over sin and I am not enslaved to sin but to righteousness. And just like Titus 3: 2- 7 says, “Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace, he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.” So, I am definitely not going back to my vomits.

Many of us might say, “I can’t be perfect, after all, I am just human.” Actually, you can be perfect. Matthew 5: 48 (NLT) says, “But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.” When we see or hear about this verse the first thing we say is, “That is so not possible” and because of that, we don’t make any effort at all.

Of course, it is entirely impossible by our own effort alone. We must work with the Holy Spirit and allow him to build us from inside out. We ought to pursue righteousness and perfection. Matthew 5: 6 (ESV) says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for THEY SHALL BE SATISFIED.” We have to seek for God like you really mean it with the whole of our hearts.

We might not reach our perfections on this earth, but by the second coming of Jesus Christ and in heaven we will be perfect. Because I am certain that God, who began the good work within us, will continue his work until it is finally finished (completed and perfected) on the day when Christ Jesus returns Philippians 1 -6 (NLT). However, we must start working towards that perfection now with the help of the Holy Spirit, or we won’t have any work in us waiting to be perfected at all.

The Word of God (Bible) is my guide. It has become the first book I got to for answers and how I should live, and I want it to become yours too. For we know that, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equips his people to do every good work” (2 Timothy 3: 16 – 17 – NLT). So, don’t take my words for it. Make sure you examine and test it and hold on to the right ones (1 Thessalonians 5:21) and throw away any garbage I say.

I love God, and the Bible says I am a liar if I say that but hate my brothers and sisters, including the lost ones – 1 John 4:20. And we are commanded to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30 – 31). I love God so much, and I prove that by obeying his commandment (John 14: 15). I also myself so much and I do not want to go to hell, I want to go to heaven and see God in all of his majesty and glory. So to love you as myself is to tell you the truth, support you and encourage you so you won’t go to hell too. We are a body. Can you imagine some parts of the body going to heaven and some parts going to hell? We are also a family. Can you also imagine some members of a family going to heaven and some to hell? That is so not right. So, if you are a believer and you still have some secret sins, sexual or not, please let them go because I don’t want to see you as a family here on earth only but also in heaven, forever. And you are an unbeliever please repent of your ways and accept Christ into your life and join the family.

And true, we might be right.  I have not been through what some of us have been through in life, not walked the path we have walked and all. But I want us to know that there is NO EXCUSE whatsoever that will save us on the judgment day. And there is NO EXCUSE for dwelling in sin.

We must know what only a few will find the narrow door and enter it while it’s still open. Jesus said we should, “Work hard to enter the narrow door to God’s Kingdom, for many will try to enter but will fail. When the master of the house has locked the door, it will be too late. You will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Lord, open the door for us!’ But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.” I pray this won’t be us in Jesus name.Amen. So, I don’t want you to take this series as me judging you but me showing my love for you.

And, no matter what you are going through in life, what your past has been, choices you have made and all. I want you to know that God is ready to accept you back just like the father had his arms wide open to accept the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32) and even had a feast for him. God is also arms open like that waiting for you to return home. Heaven can’t wait to celebrate for your sake. We want you back home sister and we want you back home brother. So, let’s make sure to be a part of that FEW that makes it home (Heaven).

I love you all. ❤️❤️❤️

  1. This is so true Esther, Who dares to judge, it is in no man’s power to. Even In the Bible, the woman who committed adultery was about to be stoned and Jesus said, if anyone of you is without sin, he / she should be the first to cast the stone . BUT they all flee. I am a sinner and I am guilty of so many wrongs… Like it’s is written above, NO EXCUSES… So walking diligently towards perction in the part of righteousness. 🙏🙏may God help us. Esther may God strengthen you.
