I will like us to begin this series by clearing away some misunderstandings of what the gospel is and briefly establishing what it truly is.
“What is the gospel of Jesus Christ?”
A question that every Believer/Christian should be able to answer even in their sleep. A question every Christian should be able and prepared to answer when asked what their faith, hope, and love is anchored upon?
1 Peter 3:15-16 (CSB)
15 but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, ready at any time to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. 16 Yet do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that when you are accused, those who disparage your good conduct in Christ will be put to shame.
“What is the Gospel of Jesus Christ?”
This is also a question that every unbeliever must hear the answer to in order to be saved.
So, let’s briefly look at what the gospel of Jesus Christ is NOT and what it IS.
What the Gospel of Jesus Christ is NOT.
It is NOT the message of prosperity.
It is NOT the message of Assured Wealth or Health.
It is NOT the message of “living your best life yet” (Depends on your definition of “Best Life”).
It is NOT the message of a good life and enjoyment.
It is NOT the message of a rosy life without illness.
It is NOT your personal salvation story or testimony.
It is NOT the message of popularity, fame, and influence.
It is NOT the message of Jesus’s baptism.
It is NOT the message of Jesus’s ministry of preaching, deliverance and signs and wonders.

It is NOT the message of giving your life to Christ (we are spiritually dead, we ain’t got no life to give him).
It is NOT the message of forsaking sinful lifestyles
It is NOT the message of religion.
It is NOT the message of becoming a boring person.
It is NOT the message of being a “good” and moral person.
It is NOT the message of wearing only skirts and no trousers for women.
It is NOT the message of not wearing makeup or weaves.
It is NOT the message of paying tithes.
It is NOT the message of sowing and reaping.

Were you surprised by any?
What the gospel of Jesus Christ is NOT is way more than what it simply IS because we have attached our own meanings to it due to our lack of understanding and we just take whatever we are told without confirming its accuracy.
I have personally experienced this. For years I was in church and around people who were telling me what the gospel of Jesus Christ is NOT. They were telling me everything I should do and not do (The law and the law has never and will never save anyone. We will talk more about this later). While I indeed have to stop my sinful lifestyles, what they were preaching was NOT the gospel just a bunch of rules, traditions, and laws. That NEVER saved me. Because they were trying to get me saved by WORKS rather than FAITH. And I was never going to stop my sinful lifestyle until I became a new creation and the Holy Spirit begins to work in my life.
We must know what the gospel of Jesus Christ is. Not just so you can truly get saved but because as Christians the gospel of Jesus Christ is our hope and anchor. If we don’t know it accurately, we can’t rely on it when we need to and we will continue to always wonder if we are truly saved because we don’t even know how exactly we got saved. So we wonder, “Am I saved? Did I really get saved? Maybe I should go for another altar call, etc.” And we can’t share or preach it to others as we’ve been commanded to.
How do you teach or preach what you don’t know? You can’t. Hence why many don’t share the gospel because they don’t know what to share or they just share what they’ve been told which is often the wrong message.
Well, you are in for a treat because, in this series, we will be talking and building up our knowledge and understanding of what the gospel of Jesus Christ is all about.
Stick around.
God bless.
You are Eternally Loved.

This is going to be a glorious series, obviously. The simplicity with which this Topic is introduced is highly inviting. I could not help but express the joy of enlightenment, as you clearly pointed out the charter specific to The Gospel of Christ Jesus. Having pointed out other messages in the scriptures, especially the Gospelic accounts which included the birth, baptism and Ministry of Jesus of Nazareth which majorly is The Preaching of The Kingdom which was near. This Kingdom, specifically is a demonstration of God’s authority and reign over the works of darkness even as also was shown in the Healings, casting out of devils, signs and wonders, which were performed by Jesus.
These as you have pointed out are Not The Message Of the Gospel of Christ Jesus.
I look forward to being enlightened in the coming weeks.
We’re Eternally Blessed.
Thank you Esther.

In the scriptures Jesus constantly preaches the gospel of the Kingdom which has everything to do with God dominating and overturning the works of Satan in the lives of people. The Kingdom message is the rule and reign of God in the hearts of people that submit themselves to the will of God.
Jesus didn’t come preaching His death, burial and resurrection. His main message was preaching the Kingdom of God. The death, burial and resurrection is important, it gets us to the place where we can enter into the Kingdom through a relationship with Jesus Christ, The Kingdom was the center focal point of Jesus’s message.
I would like to make you aware of some additional Kingdom resources that I believe will assist and help you with the series you believe God has called you to developed. My Apostle has done extensive teaching and preaching on the Kingdom of God. He has written over 200 books on the Kingdom please visit his website for more information Dr.DanaCarson.com and http://www.therockwoi.com You can also check out some of his preaching on the Kingdom on YouTube at Dr Dana Carson

Thank you so much for your comment, Kim.
“REPENT for the kingdom of God is near,” said Jesus (Matthew 4:17). Jesus preached in the books of the Bible known as “the gospels” that repentance is necessary to be a part of the kingdom of God.
The kingdom and reign of God whether man repents or not, is near. Hence why Jesus was key on repentance, so we can be a part of it.
Jesus hinted how this repentance unto salvation is done in John 3:5-7
“5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again (saved).”
The apostles epistles go even deeper in explaining this to us.
Jesus came to SAVE the sinner (his primary mission) preaching about the kingdom of God, demonstrating its power, supremacy and revealing God to man was secondary (a man can’t even fully understand it until he is saved).
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is about the primary.
We will come to more understanding of this in the series.
Thanks for sharing the resource, I’ll be sure to check it out.
God bless. 🤗
