How well do you trust God?

how Well do you trust God?-3

God will provide!

Our God is a provider. Not just in terms of money or food but literally everything. He provides children, wife, husband, family, friends, job, purpose, life, etc.

But the question is, “How well do you trust God to be your provider?”

When God told Abraham to sacrifice His only son, Isaac. He didn’t argue. In fact, the Bible said He got up the very next day early in the morning and set out to the place of the sacrifice.

Many times, God has told us to do some ridiculous things that your first response was probably, “Get behind me Satan.” Like seriously, “That can’t be God. God knows how much I love my son, He can’t tell me to sacrifice him. God knows how I am already engaged to this man and I love him, so God can’t tell me to leave him. or God knows I only have so much money so He can’t tell me to give it out. This is definitely the devil talking.” And we try to reason and wiggle our way out of what God has told us to do.

And this just shows how much trust we have in God. Will you trust that in all things God is working for your good? Will you trust that in all things, He will never do anything to hurt you? Will you trust that He will always provide for you?

The very first time I read the story in Genesis 22 (The sacrifice of Isaac), I was disappointed in God and I thought Abraham must be very foolish to have obeyed Him. But as I continued to read the story and every time I read that story, I get disappointed in myself and realize how foolish I am. Disappointed because that story reveals to me the minuteness of my faith and trust in God and foolish because I thought my way was better.

Abraham said to his son in vs 8, “God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering.” This is one of the reasons why this man is called the father of faith and he shows us why it is extremely impossible to please God without faith.

Because, God is always going to tell you to do some ridiculous things that will leave you thinking and doubting, “Wow, did I choose the wrong God or did I make a mistake in getting into a relationship with God?”

But faith and trust in God are what gets us through such ridiculous moments. Trusting that God will provide for your financially, will allow you to give even the little you have out. Trust that God will provide the right husband/wife for you even though your wedding day is set will allow you to cut off the current relationship because God says no. And trusting that God will fulfill His promise to make Abraham into a great nation through his son, Isaac, allowed Abraham to get up so early in the morning and confidently told His son, GOD WILL PROVIDE!

And back to the question, how well do you trust God to be your provider? #Thinkaboutit #HappyNewMonth 🤗
